Imagine a delicious Samoa girl scout cookie in donut form, does it get any better?! These are also considered paleo and gluten free! And as a plus they’re healthier than your normal donut. Not that these should be consumed everyday but if you’re looking for a sweet treat these would be a great option!
The caramel is the hardest part of this whole recipe. Like they say cooking time will depend on your burner, mine took probably closer to an hour and a half to get it to somewhat the right consistency, I probably could’ve cooked it a little longer but it worked. I also just added as much toasted coconut as I wanted which helped thicken up the topping. I covered the donuts with the topping at night and didn’t plan on eating them until the next day. The donuts absorbed a lot of it so I’d recommend coating them right before you’re going to eat them. The enjoy life dark chocolate chips are to die for and you’d never know they were dairy free! Hope you enjoy as much as I did!
